E.L_B is the independent practice of Elliot Lipley, working alongside his continuing role as founder and owner of London design-led contractor Lipley & Parker.

With over thirteen years of experience in design-led construction, Elliot's practice has developed across making, building and the delivery of increasingly complex architectural projects. His background spans metalwork, carpentry and furniture making through to construction detailing, site management, project delivery and consultancy.

E.L_B applies that experience earlier in the design process, working with architects, designers, contractors and private clients across construction detailing, interiors, costing, procurement, value engineering and project strategy.

Elliot studied History of Art & Design before later completing further study in Managing Building Adaptation at TU Delft, extending an established interest in the sustainable adaptation, improvement and continued use of existing buildings.

The practice sits between design and construction: combining an understanding of architectural intent with detailed knowledge of materials, cost, sequencing and how things are actually made.
