E.L_B is the independent practice of Elliot Lipley, alongside his continuing role as founder of London design-led contractor Lipley & Parker.

Over thirteen years, Elliot's work has developed from metalwork, carpentry and furniture making into construction detailing, site management, project delivery and consultancy — while building and running his own construction company.

E.L_B brings this experience into collaborations with architects, designers, contractors and private clients across detailing, interiors, costing, procurement, value engineering and project strategy.

Elliot studied History of Art & Design and later Sustainable Building Adaptation at TU Delft, developing a particular interest in the sustainable materiality and continued use of existing building stock.

The practice sits between design and construction — combining architectural intent with an understanding of materials, cost, sequencing and how things are actually made.
